Radim Vojíř (Pianist)

Radim Vojíř was born in 1976 in Cheb. As a child he was very active on the music scene in the city, he was also a member of the Youth Brass Orchestra and a very talented student at the local music school. His professional career began in 1990, when he started his studies at the conservatory in Teplice in the classroom of professor Petr Slavík.The entrance to the Academy of Arts in Prague was next and very important step. At this academy, Radim Vojíř started to study sophisticated classic piano pieces under the direction of professors Boris Krajný and Kvita Bílinská. His piano studies reached their peak in the course of 2 year's period at the Music university of Franz Liszt in Weimar, Germany, under the direction of professor Gunda Köhler-Scharlach.

Radim Vojíř improves his skills in various music master courses by the world's leading piano virtuosos, such as Lazar Berman or Eugen Indjic. Along his piano path he has taken part in many international piano competitions all over Europe. Radim Vojíř achieved the greatest successes at the piano competitions "Prague Spring" and "Chopin piano competition" in Mariánské Lázně. He has had lots of concerts in the Czech Republic, in Germany, Austria, Russia and France in his music career.

Radim Vojíř is not only known as an excellent piano virtuoso, but also as a musician, who plays in lots of other groups.
