Financing:

In addition to the cultural foundation, the association also has an economic base as a significant service provider in the “vacation concert region of the Vogtland.”

The Chursächsische Philharmonic is primarily financed through the sales resulting from around 700 annual concerts in the Saxon State Spa and generates additional income at guest performances, where it acts as a special orchestra and musical ambassador for the region, as well as national and international contributions and its own resources. Music is played on historical instruments, which were primarily handcrafted in the Vogtland.

The Chursächsische Philharmonic receives further support through the Association of Friends and Sponsors of the Chursächsische Philharmonic e.V.

The Kulturraum Vogtland originally also sponsored the Chursächsische Philharmonic directly. Due to support-related relevancies of the Vogtland Philharmonic Greiz/ Reichenbach e.V., which is also at home in the Vogtland, this subsidy has been assigned to the latter since 1998 after the conclusion of a cooperation agreement, according to which the regionally significant “Vogtland Philharmonic/ Chursächsische Philharmonic” is supported. In return, the Vogtland Philharmonic will guarantee the Chursächsische Philharmonic and others five permanent musician positions.
