The multitude of colours and possibilities for expression, that one can create with the violin.

There have been many: e.g. Vivaldi´s Cycle "The Four Seasons" or Stravinsky´s "History of a Soldier"

All of them, but especially Bach, Ravel and Duke Ellington.
