What was your first, defining moment with music?

When I had to survive my first concert at the tender age of 6 with a freshly broken recorder...

What makes your instrument special?

Baroque symbolism, as the trumpet stands here for majesty, revelry, leadership and war (on the field and for love!).

What was your most memorable concert experience in Bad Elster to date?

The »Eroica« with the Chursächsische Philharmonic at the opening of the anniversary party in 2010. Dr. Lothar and Dr. Thomas de Maizière were iin the audience.

For me, the Chursächsische Philharmonic Bad Elster is…?

...next to great music - a holiday in nature and the chance to breathe fresh air for a few days!

Which composors do you associate with Bad Elster or the Chursächsische Philharmonic?

Bach & Beethoven!

If you were on an abandoned island, which composers would you take with you?

Bach,of course!

Why should I visit a classical concert more frequently?

So that you can experience the world of sound that is this very moment.

Which credo would you give to an up-and-coming musician?

Find the place where your music rings true!

Which question would you have liked to answer?

None, thank you.

Ms Barsby, we thank you for your time!
