Current Programme of the Concert Master Quartet (excerpt)

At this point, we would like to provide you with a glimpse of the diverse programme of the Concert Master Quartet, which can also be booked as guest artists. Naturally, we also will gladly present you with completely individualised programme suggestions - Ask us!

The Concert Master Quartet invites you to a musical celebration: the master musicians present the very fitting wedding march from Mendelssohn's "Summer Night's Dream" as well as the world-famous composition "Wedding Day at Troldhaugen" by Edvard Grieg. Naturally, such a concert would not be complete without the "Wedding Suite". With this piece, Mozart opened his opera "Le nozze de Figaro".

The Concert Master Quartet dances with you throughout the world! Experience a colourful potpourri of musical dances by famous composers from Romania, Norway, Mexico, Hungary, China and more! These dances naturally go hand in hand with the works of Händel, Mozart and Strauß.

The Concert Master Quartet presents an up-beat collection of musical humour: let Hayden's String Quartet No. 38 "Der Scherz", Mozart's Divertimento in B Major or Mendelssohn's String Quartet No. 4 amuse you. The concert will also be 'visited' by two silly characters in Paul Hindemith's "Die zwei lustigen Mistfinken"!

This concert features the great Viennese composers and contemporaries Franz Schubert and Ludwig von Beethoven. During their lifetimes, they faced each other from a respectable distance, whereas today they are connected by the brilliancy of their music. With the String Quartet in E Major op. 125/1 by Schubert and the F Major op. 18/1 by Beethoven, the Concert Master Quartet presents you two famous Viennese composers of the early 19th century, who both developed their scores in what was the "heartland of quartet music".

The Concert Master Quartet invites you to a concert featuring the most loved melodies throughout music history: experience the firey "Tango Ballett" by Astor Piazolla, the romantic "Embraceable you" by Georg Gershwin and naturally the world-famous "O sole Mio" by Eduardo di Capua. When the "Chianti Song" fades out and the musicians begin with "Moonlight in Vermont", you'll know that this is an unforgettable concert experience, guaranteed!

With this programme, the Concert Master Quartet entraps you in the tranquil depths of classical music. Next to the aria "Mein gläubiges Herz" by Johann Sebastian Bach and Franz Schubert's famous String Quartet "Ave Maria", the moving interpretations of the aria "Caro mio bien" by Tommaso Giordani, or Mozart's gripping "Ave, verum corpus" in E Minor will be performed – a concert that rings out within you!
